Donate a Bike

Giving a bike a second life is one of the most impactful ways to support the South Bend Bike Garage. Every donated bicycle helps us provide affordable transportation options, teach repair skills, reduce waste, and build a healthier cycling community in South Bend.

How to Donate

The easiest way to donate a bike is to bring it directly to the shop during our open hours:

Wednesdays, 5–8 PM
119 W Wayne St, South Bend

Our team will take a quick look at the bike, answer any questions, and make sure we can put it to good use.

 

Need a Different Drop-Off Time?

We understand that our current hours don’t work for everyone. If you can’t make it on a Wednesday evening, we’re happy to arrange a custom drop-off or pickup when we have availability.

Just reach out using our contact form, and we’ll coordinate the best time and place.

What We Accept

We gladly accept:

• Adult and youth bicycles in any condition

• Parts bikes, project bikes, and bikes needing repair

• Spare parts and accessories that are still usable

• ​

Bikes that can be refurbished are restored and sold at affordable prices. Bikes that can’t be repaired are used for parts to help keep other bikes on the road.
