Our Team

The South Bend Bike Garage remembers Karen Haun, our super volunteer.

Karen was part of the South Bend Bike Garage from the very beginning. Over the years, she wore countless hats, serving as our Treasurer, managing social media, picking up donated bikes, teaching and mentoring volunteers, helping customers, and always stepping in wherever she was needed.

Many in our community will remember Karen as the friendly face at the front desk. She welcomed customers and volunteers with kindness, helped everyone find what they needed, answered questions, and made people feel at home. If something needed to be done, Karen was often the first to raise her hand.

Karen devoted countless hours of her time and energy to making the Bike Garage what it is today. Through cold winter evenings and hot summer days, she showed up with an incredible work ethic, a generous spirit, and a genuine passion for our mission. She cared deeply about the people we serve, our customers, volunteers, donors, and the entire community.

Her impact on the South Bend Bike Garage cannot be measured simply by the hours she volunteered. It lives on in the organization she helped build, the volunteers she encouraged, the bikes she helped put into the community, and the countless lives she touched along the way.

We are profoundly grateful for everything Karen gave to the Bike Garage. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever a part of our story.
